The angel inhales and stretches her arms as she listens to the questions asked.

"My name is Saffiel, I'm an angelic soldier. I don't have much if any real power in of the chain of command," she explains.

"The term floor is only useful to the Chosen. I would assume that you are only experiencing a small part of this battlefield, but if your question essentially boils down to are there a lot of places where the forces of the Towers Above and Below do direct battle the answer is that there are essentially four main frontlines in this conflict, this battlefield being one of them. Usually the Chosen and the denizens of the main tower are never exposed to this direct conflict. This is in fact the first time I've ever heard of a chosen being on this battlefield," she answers.

"The amount of combatants is technically endless. Demons and angels are constantly sent to reinforce. Getting an accurate number for either **** is difficult and even knowing who is currently in charge can be tricky. Deus is the overall commander of the military forces of the Tower Above and Laifell, Archdemon of Pride serves the same role for the Tower Below, but on this specific battlefield, especially this section of it, it's unlikely either of them are here directly, more likely some mid to high ranking angel is currently in command of our forces and some equivalent demon controls their forces. On a battlefield like this it's not uncommon to have your commanding officer change at a moments notice. Luckily the chain of command is inherent in our being so we'll never be confused about who is in charge when the orders are given at least, but being able to tell you who they are at this moment without heading back to the command tent to see personally, I'm sorry that's beyond me," she answers and then hesitates, "oh as for the amount, while it's difficult to impossible to get exact numbers, hundreds I'd estimate," she adds.

"I can heal your injuries, but recovering from the effect of an incubus is beyond me, a better angel than me could probably heal your affliction, you could probably find one back at the encampment," she explains, "as for a safe place to cure the affliction the more... Simple way... Back at the encampment there are rest tents, though safe is of course a somewhat relative term as this is still an active battlefield," she clarifies.

"If you are willing to help us of course we would allow you to make use of our tents and supplies, within logical limits of course, we can't just give you all our supplies, we are still fighting a war, but I'm sure some weaponry, potions and of course a new uniform for your angel friend would be within those limits," she says cheerfully.

Take and Malphiel listen and Malphiel seems relieved she might be able to get some clothes soon.

"I suppose we'll head to the encampment now. It seems the voices are happy to side with the angelic forces and I know Malphiel would prefer we side with you then the demons," Take decides and Saffiel nods.

"I should head back so I'll accompany you back to the encampment," she states.

The three head towards the gleaming wall of shields, but as they move past the walls, something shifts. They enter the encampment and suddenly find it in disarray.

The walls are broken, shields crumpled and shattered. Demons are within the encampment fighting with the remaining angelic forces. Many of the tents are shredded, angel and demon corpses litter the ground. The largest tent, likely the commander's, still stands. A squad of angels guarding it against a number of demons trying to get in.

"Wh- What happened?! It was just fine!" Saffiel yells, overwhelmed by the sudden change.

"Time between parts of the Tower can be confusing..." a voice speaks and the three women turn to see Nagi sitting at a small shop stall within the encampment. "Time between the Tower and the world's without can be even more confusing. The Tower is using that temporal dissonance to ensure that Take's travel through the battlefield is as full of danger and strife as possible. Unfortunately Saffiel, you followed her and were dragged along temporally. This moment, this failure, was never supposed to happen in your lifetime," Nagi continues and shakes her head regretfully. Saffiel drops to her knees as the realization that she just got shunted into a dark future hits her. "as for you, Take. Your ability to continue forward is predicated on killing one of the two commanders, but to reach the angel commander, to kill her or otherwise, you'll have to either kill the angels defending her tent or the demons trying to invade it. The same will be true if you go after the Demonic Commander. Also either path taken leads to the same next floor to be clear," Nagi clarifies.

Take turns her attention to the demons and angels fighting in front of the tent. There are six angels and six demons, both seeming to be slightly stronger than the basic rank and file for their kind.

"Of course my shop is still available as well," Nagi adds suddenly with a large, shark toothed grin.
