Malphiel decides to explain to Saffiel what happened while Take talks to Nagi. "I recovered some cursed items from a previous floor, would I be able to exchange them for better items?" Take asks.

Nagi looks uncertain, "well... Normally cursed items can only be exchanged for other cursed items," she answers, "though I could make you a deal... All three cursed items for one non-cursed item is a terrible exchange rate, especially considering..." she trails off and shakes her head, "Nevermind don't worry about it," she corrects herself and continues, "but if you really want a buff here and now and don't want to use your one boon from me for it, I'd be willing to make that incredibly unfair trade. I'll even let you decide the type of item," she offers.

Malphiel explains what happened to Saffiel as Saffiel stares at the fighting angels and demons, "so... If we help them, the three of us will get defeated and **** and then it will just reset?" Saffiel asks.

"It seems that way... We might win, it sounds like we were pretty close to winning last time even with the artillery bombardment and the summoned elite," Malphiel clarifies and Saffiel looks thoughtful.

"That being said we'd pretty definitively win if we go take out their artillery and the ritual first?" Saffiel confirms and Malphiel nods.

"That seems to be the case. We were hoping if we did go to stop the artillery and the ritual, you'd come with us. It seems like staying to fight here would be a pointless exercise since until Take s the fighting any gains or losses made here will just reverse anyway," Malphiel points out.

"Put like that there isn't much reason for me not to try and help you deal with the Artillery and Ritual first," Saffiel concedes though she stares sadly at her comrades locked in combat.
