Who Found The Rulebook?
You!
“Can I help you?” the waitress says, rudely.
Your teeth click as you snap your mouth shut. You realize you’ve been staring at her for quite some time. But can you be blamed? You just saw reality change before your very eyes, all because of a pencil and a notebook.
“I’m sorry,” you say, snapping out of it. “I thought I recognized you.”
The words are lame, and she can sense the lie, but she turns on her heels without a word to resume her post behind the counter.
You sip at the hot coffee, disbelief an overwhelming obstacle. You need another test to know you aren’t going crazy. You grab the notebook, pocket the pencil, and hurry out of the little coffee shop.
