Shortstack-ification

The day started like any other, boring but predictable. However, no one could have prepared for what was to come. During the day something swept across the Earth, changing Humans and leaving no one untouched. People began to shrink down in size, getting curvier forms, and changing species. Some even changed sexes too, with some features becoming larger despite their own smaller size. In certain instances, mental changes also happened though that seemed less common. Animals were mostly untouched, though in some rare cases some of them also changed. The event didn't take long and was over before the days end, it became known under different names, but across the Earth it was a universal experience.

No one knew what caused it, it seemed too sudden for a virus so many assumed some kind of magic. But once the change was done, they were left different than they were before as they were **** to settle into their new lives, in what would soon become a very different world.

They collectively became known as shortstacks, though they came in different species and varieties. The more common types consist of Kobolds, Imps, Goblins, Cherubs/Cupids, Gnomes/Dwarves, and various types of Anthros. However, some other types exist, albeit less common.

As a result of the global change, different people and places handled it differently. Some loved it, while others needed time to adjust. Being smaller it took time and effort to make things work with some places being able to adjust ok to people's now smaller size. However, others collapsed with some areas falling into ruin before things could adapt in time. Social norms shifted as the old ways no longer seemed to always apply, with everyone figuring out how things would work.

However, after the change was said and done, the chaos being over, and things having time to adjust...slowly but surely a new normal began to be established.
