Meeting the Baron
Continue
Asa is led into the mansion, a large parlor greeting her. With tile floors and a chandelier above, as well as a massive staircase leading to the second floor, it gave an air of opulence. There was also another pair of guards standing just inside, one of them stepping out to replace the guard who was guiding Asa.
Asa was led up the stairs, to a massive set of oak doors. They opened by themselves, seemingly a simple spell to impress guests, and the guard led the way inside.
What awaited Asa was a luxurious office, with shelves of books, several trophies and paintings on display, and a mahogany desk behind which sat Baron Fuller. He was an older man, probably in his late fifties, who was balding on top but had a well manicured mustache to balance it out. He greeted Asa with an air of quiet dignity. "Dame Asa LeRush, it is an honor to have you in our fair city. I have heard you have business from the Crown?"
There were rumors that the Baron was tied to the criminal elements Asa was here to investigate. But they were only rumors, and she had no evidence to back them up. So how much information should she share, and what sort of demeanor should she take with the Baron?
Demeanor with the Baron?
